Our Programs & Community Impact

At NEGES, we believe meaningful change begins by meeting the real needs of the community. Through education, healthcare, agriculture, and economic empowerment, we work alongside families and local leaders in Léogâne, Ayiti to create opportunities that strengthen lives and build a more sustainable future.

Our programs are rooted in compassion, collaboration, and service — supporting children, youth, farmers, and families through initiatives designed to promote dignity, self-sufficiency, and long-term community development.

From sustainable poultry farming and local Farmers Market initiatives to educational programs and the opening of the IMAMOU Medical Center in Dampus, Léogâne on April 26, 2026, NEGES continues to expand its mission of providing hope, access, and opportunity for the people we serve.

Together, we are building healthier families, stronger communities, and a future grounded in unity, growth, and lasting impact.

Building Stronger Communities Through Service, Education, and Sustainability

NEGES is committed to empowering the community of Léogâne, Ayiti through programs that promote education, health, agriculture, economic opportunity, and human dignity. Rooted in unity and community action, NEGES works to create sustainable solutions that improve the quality of life for children, youth, families, and local farmers. Through hands-on programs and community-centered initiatives, NEGES continues to serve as a place of growth, hope, and transformation.

Poultry Care & Poultry Environment Sustainability

NEGES is actively involved in poultry development initiatives designed to support food security, agricultural education, and economic sustainability within the community. Through practical training and hands-on experience, community members learn responsible poultry care, animal health management, feeding practices, sanitation, and sustainable farming techniques.

The poultry program provides opportunities for youth and families to develop valuable agricultural skills while promoting self-sufficiency and local economic growth. Participants are trained in maintaining clean and healthy poultry environments that encourage proper animal care, productivity, and environmental responsibility.

By combining education with practical agricultural experience, NEGES helps families build sustainable livelihoods while strengthening community resilience and food accessibility in Léogâne.

Farmers Market Initiative

NEGES supports local farmers and small agricultural producers through community-based Farmers Market initiatives that encourage economic empowerment and local food distribution.

The Farmers Market creates a space where local growers can sell fresh produce, poultry products, and handmade goods directly within the community. This initiative strengthens the local economy, supports small farmers, and increases access to healthy and affordable food for families in Léogâne.

Beyond commerce, the Farmers Market also promotes collaboration, cultural connection, and community engagement. NEGES believes that empowering local farmers contributes to long-term sustainability, food independence, and stronger community relationships.

Education Programs – Alpha Program & IMODEL

Education remains one of the central pillars of NEGES’ mission. Through the Alpha Program and IMODEL educational initiatives, NEGES works to expand access to learning opportunities for children, youth, and adults in the community.

Alpha Program

The Alpha Program focuses on literacy development, foundational education, and academic support for individuals who may have limited access to formal educational opportunities. The program helps participants strengthen reading, writing, communication, and life skills necessary for personal and professional growth.

By promoting literacy and educational inclusion, the Alpha Program empowers individuals to become more confident, informed, and actively engaged within their communities.

IMODEL Educational Initiative

The IMODEL program is designed to inspire innovation, leadership, mentorship, and holistic development among youth and students. The initiative encourages critical thinking, creativity, discipline, and community responsibility while helping participants prepare for future educational and professional opportunities.

Through mentorship, training, and educational support, IMODEL seeks to nurture future leaders who are committed to positive change and community development in Haiti and beyond.

A Vision for Lasting Impact

Safe Haven Program – Mon Ptit Village / NEGES

Mon Ptit Village / NEGES – A Safe Haven for Haiti’s Vulnerable Youth

At Mon Ptit Village / NEGES, we have created more than a shelter — we have created a home. A place of refuge, protection, healing, and hope for vulnerable children and teenagers who have endured sexual, emotional, and physical abuse.

Many of the young people who arrive at our doors come carrying invisible wounds shaped by violence, abandonment, trauma, neglect, and deep insecurity. For them, safety is not something they have always known. At NEGES, we work every day to change that reality.

Our mission extends far beyond providing food and housing. We are committed to restoring dignity, rebuilding self-worth, and helping each child rediscover the value of their life and the possibility of their future. Through love, structure, mentorship, education, and emotional support, we strive to create an environment where healing can begin and where every child feels seen, protected, and cared for.

Currently, Mon Ptit Village / NEGES provides housing, supervision, educational support, meals, and daily care for:

  • 5 teenage girls, age 17
  • 2 teenage boys, age 16

All seven children attend our school and are supported through a structured and nurturing environment centered on academic growth, emotional stability, personal development, and community belonging.

At NEGES, we believe that every child — regardless of the hardships they have endured — deserves the opportunity to grow up in safety, to be treated with compassion, and to dream beyond their circumstances.

For many of these children, Mon Ptit Village represents the first place where they have experienced consistency, encouragement, protection, and genuine care. Here, they are not defined by their trauma. They are reminded of their strength, their worth, and their potential.

Through compassion, education, advocacy, and community support, Mon Ptit Village / NEGES continues to stand as a beacon of restoration and opportunity for the youth of Ayiti — one child, one family, and one future at a time.
